Tidal transit to launch six electric Crew Transfer Vessels: UK-based Tidal Transit is expanding its fleet with six fully electric crew transfer vessels (E-CTVs) to support offshore wind farms. Backed by HICO Investment Group, this move aligns with the industry’s push for zero-emission operations, cutting costs and enhancing efficiency. EU invests €422 Million in alternative fuel and shore power projects: The EU’s Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Facility (AFIF) is funding 39 projects, including ammonia and methanol bunkering in Spanish ports and shore power initiatives in nine European ports. Ports in France, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Spain, and the Netherlands will benefit from electrification and zero-emission transport infrastructure.
