What’s new this week?

Dear readers, ports are evolving into integrated energy hubs, leveraging on-site generation and smart microgrids to power their electrification ambitions. Asyaport in Türkiye is advancing towards 100% renewable energy for its 8 MVA shore power system. From Candela's 20-strong fleet of "flying" electric ferries for the Maldives to three new electric double-ended ferries for Norway's Torghatten. Strategic partnerships are accelerating the transition, evidenced by the Tallinn-Stockholm green corridor, Norway's support for the Philippine ferry industry, and a new framework between Conductix-Wampfler and APM Terminals for terminal electrification.
